Pierre Hermé Macaroons
Macaroons – colorful, sweet and simply delicious. Looking at the history of macaroons, one discovers the true origin: Italy. The treat (today’s amarettinis) was already popular in the 16th century. With the marriage of Catharina de Medici from Italy and the Duke of Orleans the delicious pastry was imported to France. The initially simple almond pastry was refined over time: first, with a delicious filling and only in the middle of the 20th century two macaroon shells were combined with a wonderful cream in the middle. Thus today’s exquisite pastries emerged.
Pierre Hermé also refined the macaroons and created today’s world famous Pierre Hermé Macaroons. From now on, you can also taste these delicacies at the Sofitel Munich Bayerpost. Don’t miss to bring them to your family and friends as a little treat!
